Carob Dog Treats

When it comes to homemade recipes, these carob dog treats are at the top of the list for canine lip smacking good!

These are great as an alternative to chocolate, since chocolate is on the toxic foods for dogs list.

Bake a batch of these and watch your Golden Retrievers come running!

Carob Treats

  • 1/2 c. peanut butter
  • 1/2 c. margarine, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1 & 1/2 cup wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup quick oats
  • 1/2 cup powdered milk
  • 1/2 TBSP baking powder
  • 1/2 cup carob chips

With a wooden spoon, cream together the peanut butter, and margarine.  Add the milk and eggs, and mix well.

Blend in flour, oats, powdered milk, and baking powder.

Stir in carob chips.

Using a tablespoon for measurement, scoop out that amount, and roll it into a ball.

Place balls on un-greased cookie sheet.

Bake at 350 degrees for 13 to 15 minutes.
