Easy Dog Treat Recipes

Sometimes a dog cookie recipe takes more time than we have.  These easy dog treat recipes will change all that!

The ingredients in these recipes, are usually found in the everyday home, and only take a few minutes to prepare. 

All of the easy recipes on this page, have a softer texture to them. 

If your Golden Retriever is older and prefers a soft treat, these will work well.

Enjoy these easy dog treat recipes!

Super Easy Meat Flavored Treat

* 1/2 cup whole wheat flour

* 1/4 cup quick oats

* 3/4 cup powdered milk

* 1 egg

* 1 jar of baby food meat of your choice

Mix all ingredients together.  This is a thick, sticky dough, but it will mix.

Scoop out a rounded teaspoonful of dough, then roll that, into a ball.

Place balls on a greased baking pan and bake for 12 to 14 minutes at 275 degrees.

This recipe, and all meat recipes, needs to be kept in the refrigerator.

Easy Peanut Butter Dog Treat


* 1 TBSP honey
* 2 teas. peanut butter

* 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

* 1/4 cup vegetable oil

* 1 egg
* 1/4 cup powdered milk

* 3/4 cup flour
* 1 teaspoon baking soda

Mix all ingredients together.  The batter will be thin.

Drop by teaspoonful onto a greased baking pan and bake 7 to 9 minutes at 325 degrees.

This recipe spreads out while baking, so the treats will be bigger than you expect them to be.  They also burn easily, so you will want to keep a close eye on them.

Easy Meat Strip Treat

* 2 jars baby food meat

* 1/4 cup white flour

* 1/4 cup whole wheat flour

* 1/4 cup parmesan cheese

Mix all together. 

Then take the whole batch and set it in the middle of a greased cookie pan. 

With slightly floured hands, press it flat, until it is about ΒΌ inch thick.

Using a slightly floured butter knife, score it into the sizes you want.

Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. 

Store meat recipes in refrigerator. 

Easy Oatmeal Dog Treat

* 1 cup water

* 1/2 cup whole wheat flour

* 1 teaspoon baking soda

* 3 cups quick oats

* 2 eggs

Mix ingredients together and drop by rounded teaspoonful onto a baking pan.  Sightly flatten them with a fork.

Bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 14 minutes.  Makes about 4 dozen cookies.
