My Best Friend Dakota:

by Trish
(San Diego,CA USA)

Dakota my beautiful golden passed 1 day prior to his 13th birthday. I had him since the day he was born. I am still grieving the loss of this beautiful animal and my best friend ever. After he was gone our house was so quiet I couldn't stand it. I realized that my Dakota followed me every minute of the day and after he was gone I realized I'd had a running dialog with him every step of the way. I have had animals all my life but never was there an animal that took such a big chunk of my heart. He was my everything. I know that is has passed to Rainbow bridge, thank you God for giving me a rainbow the next day. He is where he needs to be. I miss your smiling face Dakota and know I will see you one day beyond Rainblow Bridge. You were the best companion, snuggly, happy dog anyone could ever have in the whole world. Dog spelled backward is God. I Love you.

I had a golden Dakota, too.

My best friend Dakota just died last week of lymphoma at the age of 12 1/2. I am heart broken. She was so beautiful!, and I loved her so much.

HI Trish, I know how you are feeling. About 3 yrs ago our Lucy went to rainbow bridge. She also was my super companion. Always talking and by my side. Then about 6 months later, our kitty Patches, 19 1/2 yrs old, also went on to rainbow bridge. She was the most loving kitty. We miss her dearly but we know too, that we will meet again at rainbow bridge.

Just remember all the sweet wonderful times with her. She is in a good place @ Rainbow Bridge.

Trish, I felt every emotion through your words, such an explicit description of your best friend, Dakota, who will be sorely missed, and who was so loved.

Sad but so poignant and sweet. Dakota was as blessed with you as you were with him. He's running and playing in a happy place waiting for you to join him.
