Dogs and peanut butter just seem to go together, don't they? This peanut butter dog treat is one of my Golden Retriever's favorite recipes!
This cookie has a midway texture, between the really hard crunchy treats, and the soft snacks, making it perfect for just about every taste preference there is!
PB Treats
Ingredients:
1 & 1/2 TBSP peanut butter
2 eggs
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/2 teas vanilla
3/4 cup wheat flour
1 teas baking soda
1/4 cup rolled oats
With a wooden spoon, cream together the eggs, peanut butter, oil and vanilla. Blend in the flour and soda. Then stir in the oats.
Drop by heaping teaspoonful onto cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 9 to 10 minutes. Yield: about 2 dozen
Note: These treats do not expand as they bake, therefore whatever size you want them, they will maintain that size. This allows you to choose ahead of time, the correct proportion for your dogs, although you may need to adjust the baking time.
